Email marketing is one of the easiest methods to market your business. It's cheap or even free. If you're going to run a company online, using emails is definitely a must anyway. There are so many safely good and free email service providers that you can sign up for. A lot of them are normally allowed you to sign up as many accounts as you want. Gmail is one example that is good and safe. Later on at one point, you might, however, want to have your own company's or domain email account as well like name@yourdomainname.com for example. This will also help you marketing your business in many ways. It helps you to promote business along the way. It helps your audiences to remember your website and to have more confidence about your business. It looks more professional. One thing to keep in mind, never use your own domain email account or anything to do with your hosting account to send emails to unknown people (like free contact list that you get) or maybe even to acquaintances. You will want to use your own domain email address only for subscribers, existing customers, opt-in people, or friends for example.
One simple strategy in email marketing is sending a simply short campaign ad to your existing contact list. You can firstly choose to send to only a small group of your close friends. By a word of mouth, each will also spread the word to his other close friends. It will, as the result, spread exponentially. Moreover, with the popularity of the new social media technology like Facebook or Twitter, can you imagine how quickly this could spread and be amazingly powerful? Basic Email Marketing Tips
- When composing an email, in "To:" put your own email address, in "Cc:" leave it blank, in "Bcc:" put all the email addresses whom you're sending the email to here. The reason for doing it this way is to protect the privacy of your contacts. When using "Bcc:", to send an email to many people at the same time, they won't be able to see other people's email address. Using "Cc:" people are still able to see everyone else's email address whose are sent to at that time.
- Keep your subject of an email short and intriguing. Shouldn't be longer than 5 words. This is really important. Whether or not your readers will open your email this part helps a ton.
- Also keep your body of an email simple and not too long. Don't give away your whole story. Remember, you're not trying to tell everything right here in the body of your email. Same thing, keep it intriguing and short.
- And remember, you're not selling. You're just simply sharing information here and direct a reader with the link to your marketing page or your website.
- Make the content of your email interesting to your readers so they would more likely not delete it. How to make it interesting? Find out what their self-interest are and make it appealing to them. Get more of what they want. Reduce or eliminate frustration, pain, and inconvenience. Show them how they'll be interested.
- Organize your contacts into each group like friends, business, acquaintance, etc so then you can personalize your email to be appropriate with the relationship of each group.
- It's good to ask for permission first in your first email with a simple, short, and respectful content.
- Make an email look personal by using their names, your physical address, your email address, your phone number, etc so they'll feel that you hand send it yourself just for them.
- To help your prospects want to act immediately, you should put a time frame in your email content.
- Never forget to put an opt-out option at the bottom of your email.
